A zoom lens is a lens placed on the front of the camera with a varying focal length that allows one to zoom in on subjects without changing the lens itself. This is very convenient because if one needs to zoom, you do not need to change the lens, however, it can comprise the quality of the pictures taken in various ways. By turning twisting the lens left or right, the focal length will lengthen or retract and zoom in or out on the subject.
