Mike D Telephoto lens hw

This photo was taken with a telephoto lens. A telephoto lens is a type of lens that is longer than most typical lenses and allows for a camera to focus on subjects at a great distance. The length of the lens is greater than the cameras focal length, and by doing so has now narrowed the field of view and light that can make it into the lens. By having a narrower field of view it allows for far away objects to seem very close and much larger than they would if any other lens was used.
